Anna [Raylene] Vasquez (she/her) is a photographer based in Los Angeles. Raised in Baldwin Park, California, Anna is attending UCLA to earn her BA in Design Media Arts. At UCLA, she joined the student-run record label Cherry Pop Records as photography staff. Before transferring into UCLA, she graduated from Citrus College with an associate's degree in photography. She started to pursue photography nine years ago at the nonprofit organization Las Fotos Project. She later ventured into other organizations, such as Amplify Arts Project, where she had the opportunity to be a photography intern and an art intern at their youth-run record label branch, Syryn Records. Vasquez uses her work as a method of self-expression and hopes to help others connect with their own identities through her work of portraiture, self-portraiture, and fashion photography. It has inspired her to capture the emotions of life, connecting her with her own sense of identity, who she is, and who she can be.
